Now i say wee because the tutorial was short, but also because my tutor tends to always use the word wee. Anyway:
- Children struggle with differentiating the dead from the sleeping
- Haptic - the sense of touch when experiencing something
- Have a play with AfterEffects after making films in premier.
Look at the use of dissolves - make them really slow
See if a film can start in black and white and fade into colour
See if i can use the toy effect feature
A possible camera shake
Fade the film to white - Play with low levels of sound. Ambient sounds: birds, drizzle..
- Continue with the shadow
- Maybe look at making a book/ zine to go with the piece of fictional or real memories/ experiences of shadows, levitation and death
- Look at this book: 'Eyes Lies and Illusions the Art of Deception'
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3crY3Lcnjyk Jack Smith's 'Flaming Creatures', the work bleaches out/ fades to bright white in sections of the film
- Tarkovsky's 'The Sacrifice' shows a levitation of simplicity and beauty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3vUQcwtmsE
- Tarkovsky's Stalker dips in and out between full colour and vintage brown shades
- Another one similar to this is 'The Wizard of Oz' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6D8PAGelN8
- Also look at the writer: Salman Rushdie
