This is a film made by Campbell, in which a camera is set up infront of this building, still. Yet walking by and going up the stairs to the building are people. However, they are not as you would expect. The people are fuzzy and darkened out. They look more like shadows than people. The are loads of these forms walking around. It is almost as though you are watching an infra red video, there are no features to these bodies, just the main shape. Yet even though we are just seeing these 'shadows' it's not disturbing, or strange. I think what makes it natural and normal, is the fact that these people are walking about. Doing everyday normal actions. We get past the fact it's just a shadow and recognise the people for what they actually are. I believe with my wish to create a shadow will have a different effect. Mine will not be moving, and i think that this will drastically change the feeling of my work compared to Campbell. There is something more sinister about a shadow that is just looming over something and not moving. It creates the idea of someone watching over you, a stalker of such. I was going to film a shadow, but from seeing this film, i could try filming a person and then altering the levels and make them into a shadow that way.
