When looking at the scenes, there could be less of the background. She is starting to become lost in everything that is around her. I want to return to her being the main focal attention. I have reworked some of the films and cropped them. This one is now probably my favorite. The cropped style/ setup suits it perfectly. There is more of a connection to her with the intimate setting. And the way that she is off center also makes it seem like you haven’t walked in on something planned and formulated. The piece is causal. Also, due to the size, when she begins to levitate at fist it is hard to know whether the ground/ grass in the piece is moving or her. This is great, as it’s what I have been speaking about in some of my writings. Once I reshoot, I want to make this exact film again, but with even stiller leg/ feet movements on her behalf.
So I wanted to try something a little different again. I thought about the possibility of having more than one change within the film - her levitating then going from colour to black and white. However, it was all really too much. There was too much of everything going on. I wont use this film, just no. I think best stick to one thing and do that one thing well!!
This was my next step of what to do with the recent films I had made. Out of all of them, I quite enjoy this view as though the legs could actually be your own. However, when I fist did this piece, it wasn’t slow enough. So here was a new attempt of really slowing this film down, to as much as I could get away with – without the graphics going weird and glitching. This did somewhat work, however, I want to re shot this. I need to get her to lie as still as she possibly can, there is still too much movement within her own body, that I cannot edit out in postproduction.
I don’t know why I did this. The end result actually looks better than what I expected. However, in the context that I am now looking at, with the bells and the writings to go alongside, I don’t think this piece will fit or work with that. If there were to just be silence etc, then yes, this piece would play and preform well. But not with all the other things going on
