After looking at the interesting works of Crowe and her use of print i wanted to try this within my work. Also, i had some left over/ scrap pieces from my collages which i thought could be included in my work. From that I thought i would etch the composition which was on the strip of paper, and have it cutting through my piece. I did this, and put the whole thing through the press. The gave a very effective side to this print. It added a layer of depth, detail and suggestions of colour. I was extremely pleased with this result. However, i must remember that the prints come out in reverse!! ...When i took away the strip of colour piece, what was left behind proved again an interesting result. From where i had stitched into the piece to begin with, it had left an indentation in my print.
