'Channels 2013' - Is a piece where around six people who have be declared dead and have come back to life, share what they experienced after the moment they died, and then were brought back to life. They are recalling their memories and experience when they died and where they went. Hiller is interested that these stories exist, even if they are made up or not. They contradict that the human brain is in-control of human consciousness, when you die your brain is dead. This "experience is worth pondering on". It is Hillers attempt to show others stories and to let people know about this potential experience after death. The use of the tvs are representational to receivers, they are the brain. They convey the thoughts and articulate them, however, the source actually comes from somewhere else, not the brain as when you die, the brain stops functioning. I am not sure if i believe in these stories, but the potential with them i find interesting. You are tapping into the place which is dealing more with the unconscious mind, that strange place where anything can happen. I would be interested to explore this more in relation to my work. I am not sure whether i would have words being spoken aloud like here, or have it in a little booklet. It is the mix up and interplay of fact and fiction, crossing that boarder and not notifying when you did so.
