This weeks work is about time within our work, looking at a way of conveying it though work. I want to continue the work that I was doing with my box and so I am thinking about doing a time lapse piece with my box and seeing at the movement of shadows within 24 hours. I will then put this together and condense the time into 2 mins?! … Whilst doing this work I want to look at another way of placing time within a composition which is not done through a performance piece. Over a long period of time things decay, I wanted to look into this. As I have less than two weeks in which to produce something, fruit is the one thing which decays the fastest. This then led me to the idea of taking a photo of a piece of fruit each day to follow its progress of decay. From this stemmed the idea and image of, what if it was falling and slowly changing, like falling through time. From this I have been producing a few sketches in order to help me with this process. At the moment I am thinking of photoshopping these pieces of fruit below each other to really make it seem as though it is falling and changing at the same rate. ….Chose fruit is a nectarine as I will hopefully be able to speed up the rotting process and they will produce beautiful colours. |

This is really cool I first thought it was a set of marbles falling but I really like the way you have painted the mould as it grows through time down the page. I look forward to the pictures of the changing shadows through time, as I thought the pictures you posted last time were very interesting. It was hard to tell what was wire and what was shadows especially on the second photo which i think gave it more depth making it more effective.
