I use this term loosely as things always change and i am happy for things to.
I love the quintessential idea of the suburban american scene, the white picket fences and the beautifully green well cut lawns. A place which is safe for children to play in, but often somewhere to show off to our neighbours and be proud of. For me, gardens were a family orientated place, somewhere of safety and fun. The familiar. It was a place where you could let your imagination run wild. A place where friends would come over, and you could spend hours making use of the natural toys there. The garden is this comfortable place. I want to change this, make it not so comfortable. Often, things do go wrong in the garden.
It 's where we bury our secrets, past animals and hide the clutter of our lives. Yet, over the top of that, we build sweet little flower beds, grow vegetables from the decomposed lives and try to make it our own small bit of utopia.
