This article touches on a few ideas that could relate to my work.
- Power makes people overall less sympathetic. They turn to generalisations rather than knowing people individually. They do not make eye contact with people who are of a lesser ranking to them.
- People with power find it a lot harder to empathise and see the world from others perspective. They don't care for others opinions.
- Power creates an "ethical lapse", these types of people are likely to do the morally/ law biding wrong thing as they see themselves immune to rules. They rationalise for themselves why it would be okay for them to do this wrong thing.
