My Wax Medal is now finished and ready to be cast in Bronze. There is writing that goes around the outside, but i am not sure yet whether this will show up once casted. The medal itself turns round inside the clasp bit, as a representation of the train tracks that many soldiers took to get to their fighting destiination. I am extremely pleased with how the top part of the medal turned out - even if this is not to be the part judged!! Due to it being done in such a small scale, some parts of it are slightly battered! Nevertheless, once it has been casted in bronze, i will 'hit' sections of it and try to make it looked aged. This will help make the rough bits/ parts not look as bad and more like they were purposely done!
